Information Training & Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA), in partnership with Cornell University Mann Library, will be hosting an online evidence synthesis training for African librarians. The course will be offered in English and is open to librarians and information specialists from African countries:


The 4-day synchronous training will be delivered on Zoom from the 13th to the 16th of May 2024. The training will run for 4.5 hours each day and will cover the following topics:


·        Overview of systematic reviews and similar methodologies,

·         guidelines and standards,

·         search strategy development,

·         software tools,

·         quality assessment, and

·         systematic review services.




To qualify for this training, you must hold a minimum of a first degree in Library and Information Science or a related discipline and have a professional role as an information specialist or librarian for a minimum of 2 years.
